About Wyo Bistro

Located in the heart of downtown Casper at the Wolcott Galleria, Wyo Bistro is more than just a restaurant—it's the culmination of decades of hard work, culinary passion, and a dream shared by husband-and-wife owners Amanda and Michael Haworth. Since opening its doors on September 24, 2025, Wyo Bistro has brought a fresh and unique dining experience to Casper.

Built on a foundation of hospitality, quality, and community, Wyo Bistro was created to offer guests something different. From Casper's only dedicated salad bar to homemade soups, handcrafted sandwiches, cheesecakes, and creative weekly specials, every item on the menu reflects the owners' commitment to fresh ingredients and exceptional flavor.

The story of Wyo Bistro begins with Michael Haworth, whose journey in the food service industry started at just 14 years old when he took his first job washing dishes. Eager to learn and advance, he quickly moved into food preparation and cooking, discovering a passion that would become a lifelong career.

Before continuing his culinary journey, Michael proudly served his country as a Food Service Specialist in the United States Army during Operation Desert Storm. His military service helped shape the discipline, leadership, and work ethic that would guide him throughout his professional life.

After returning home, Michael worked his way through nearly every position in the restaurant industry. He served as a cook, kitchen manager, sous chef, and eventually Executive Chef at the Casper Country Club. As his career progressed, he moved into restaurant management, where he developed a reputation for operational excellence, strong leadership, and exceptional guest service.

Michael later became the first General Manager of Eggingtons, helping establish it as a successful and respected Casper dining destination. He also served as General Manager of Poor Boys Steakhouse for more than eight years, overseeing one of Casper's most recognized restaurants during a period of tremendous growth and success. Through every stage of his career, Michael built a reputation for creating outstanding dining experiences and leading successful restaurant teams.

Amanda Haworth's love for the restaurant business began on her 15th birthday when she started working at Hamburger Stand in Casper. What began as a first job quickly became a lifelong passion. Over the years, Amanda worked in several restaurants throughout Casper, gaining valuable experience and developing a deep appreciation for hospitality and customer service.

Her years in the industry taught her the importance of creating welcoming environments where guests feel appreciated and cared for. After spending much of her life working in restaurants and supporting Michael's career, Amanda knew it was finally time to pursue a dream of her own. Together, Amanda and Michael combined their experience, vision, and passion to create Wyo Bistro.

At the heart of Wyo Bistro is the belief that great food should be fresh, customizable, and enjoyable. Guests can create their own salads from Casper's only dedicated salad bar, choosing from a variety of fresh ingredients and toppings. The restaurant also features a build-your-own sandwich bar, allowing guests to customize meals exactly to their tastes.

Wyo Bistro has also become known for its homemade soups, prepared fresh and crafted from scratch with care and creativity. In fact, Michael has earned the affectionate title of the restaurant's "Soup Guru," constantly developing flavorful recipes that have become guest favorites. Whether it's a comforting classic or a unique seasonal creation, each soup reflects his passion for quality and innovation.

Adding even more personality to the dining experience, Michael has also become known as Wyo Bistro's "Singing Chef." Guests are often greeted by the sound of him singing while working in the kitchen, creating a fun, welcoming atmosphere that perfectly reflects the spirit of the restaurant. His enthusiasm for food, hospitality, and life has become part of what makes Wyo Bistro such a memorable place to visit.

In addition to its everyday offerings, Wyo Bistro features weekly specials inspired by Chef Michael's creativity, seasonal ingredients, and years of culinary experience. These rotating menu items provide guests with new flavors and exciting dishes to discover throughout the year.

The atmosphere at Wyo Bistro is just as important as the food. Located within the historic Wolcott Galleria, the restaurant offers a modern, energetic vibe with distinctive décor and a comfortable setting. Whether guests are meeting friends for lunch, grabbing a quick bite downtown, or enjoying a relaxed meal with family, Wyo Bistro provides an experience that is both inviting and unique.

Today, Wyo Bistro stands as the realization of a dream decades in the making. Built on military service, culinary expertise, restaurant leadership, and a shared passion for hospitality, Amanda and Michael Haworth have created a place where great food and genuine connections come together.
